There are new standards in English language arts (reading and writing), mathematics, science and social studies. It is important to note that the information in this guide is not the complete set of standards; rather, this information is designed to highlight a select number of skills that your child should know and be able to do. The official standards documents, designed for teachers’ use, are in some cases several hundred pages long. These guides have been reduced in size for your convenience.
