CONGRATULATIONS!!!To all LEGO League team members who participated in the first ever RMS LEGO League Intramural on Friday. The RoboRams, LEGO Legends, Metal Chihuahuas, and Weird Al Pals all performed their missions successfully. Kudos to our team award winners: To the Weird Al Pals for achieving the highest point total and the Performance Award, To the LEGO Legends for capturing the Technical Award and to the Metal Chihuahuas for earning the Teamwork Award Great job, LEGO League teams!!! All team members should bring their team shirts and medals for a picture tomorrow morning.

The RMS Reading Is Fundamental Spare Change Drive is over, and we have done an outstanding job. Our goal at the beginning of this contest was to raise at least $250, or the cost of one classroom library. Including today’s donations, our total school contribution is an amazing ONE THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED AND FOUR DOLLARS AND FORTY-ONE CENTS! That amount alone will fund one year’s worth of books for one hundred and thirty needy children, or could be used to purchase five complete classroom lending libraries in needy schools. Congratulations to our top contributing homeroom, Mrs. Rettig’s and Mrs. Crossin’s, who collected a total of FOUR HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-THREE DOLLARS AND EIGHTY-FIVE CENTS, enough money to support the reading needs of forty-eight children. You should be proud of that—you have certainly earned that pizza! Mrs. Ford’s homeroom also deserves special mention for their total contribution of THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS AND THIRTY-THREE CENTS. Thanks to their efforts, thirty-seven children will have books to read. Every student and teacher who contributed has made a difference in someone else’s life, and your generosity shows the spirit of Ross Middle School.
