Due to the National Covid-19 Crisis, the Federal Government has allocated monies to each state designed to help school districts respond to the effects of Covid-19. We recently held a public hearing on August 19, 2021 to allow our community to have input on how these funds could be used to prepare for, prevent, and rebound from the impact Covid-19. As a result several needs were identified. The funds will be used for nursing services, cleaning protocols, updated technology, curricular and social/emotional resources to mitigate learning loss, professional learning related to high quality teaching and a student-centered approach, as well as creating developmentally appropriate environments. Our goal is the same as the Ohio Department of Education’s which is to provide the services and support necessary to meet the needs of the whole child and ensure students and staff are healthy, safe and successful every day.
