Chromebook Repair Drop-Off

Summer Chromebook Repair

Ross Parents and Students,

As you know, the first day of school for the 2021-2022 school year is Wednesday, August 18th.  It’s time to start preparing for the coming school year.

All students in grades 6-12 kept their Chromebooks over the summer.  Now is the time to start turning them on and making sure that they are working properly for the new school year.  In an effort to help you in this regard we have scheduled a Repair Drop Off day for Wednesday, August 11th at Ross Middle School.  If you need to have your Chromebook repaired, we are asking you to fill out a brief form, so that we can plan accordingly.  The form link: Chromebook Repair Drop Off Form

What do you need to do?
Make sure that your Chromebook and charger are working.  Power your Chromebook up and make sure that you can log in.  If everything looks good, make sure that you charge your Chromebook when you bring it on the first day of school.

What if I have a problem with my Chromebook?
If you find that there is a problem with your Chromebook fill out the Chromebook Repair Drop Off Form.  When you come in for the repair Drop Off day, ONLY bring the Chromebook. (Keep your case and charger, unless your charger is not working properly.)

You will drop off your Chromebook and one will be waiting for you in your homeroom on the first day of school.

What if my student is new to the district and does not yet have a Chromebook?
New students to the district will have one waiting for them on the first day of school in their homeroom.

What if I can’t make it to the Chromebook Drop Off event on Wednesday the 11th?

If your Chromebook is in need of repair and you are unable to attend the Chromebook Repair Drop Off on Wednesday the 11th, bring your Chromebook to the media center on the first day of school and we will provide a loaner until the repair is complete. If you have a repair, please fill out the Chromebook Repair Drop Off Form regardless of whether you drop off on the 11th or on the first day of school.
