For Immediate Release

August 5, 2022

Ross Local School District Treasurer Jeremy Frazier has submitted his resignation to the Board of Education effective August 31, 2022, to accept the Treasurer position in the Hamilton City Schools. Prior to coming to Ross, Frazier spent four years as the Assistant Treasurer at Hamilton. Long-time Hamilton Treasurer Bob Hancock announced his retirement from the District in late July.

Board President Sean Van Winkle thanked Mr. Frazier for his service to the District during difficult financial times. “Jeremy is extremely well regarded in the school Treasurer community and we knew it would only be a matter of time before larger districts came calling. He made an immediate positive impact at Ross helping us navigate the difficult financial situation we are currently facing. We are deeply disappointed he’s leaving so soon, but we also understand this is a great opportunity for Jeremy and his family.”

Frazier added “I’m grateful for the opportunity the Board of Education gave me to serve as the Treasurer at Ross. Obviously, the District is facing difficult times but I want the school and community to know that my decision doesn’t have anything to do with the levy or our current financial situation. Going back to Hamilton as the Treasurer has always been a bit of a dream scenario for me and that opportunity presented itself now.”

The Ross Local Schools will begin an immediate search to find a replacement.
