The Ross Local School District recognizes the need to provide intervention for all students who are not meeting grade and age appropriate standards. The Child Study Process (CSP) in an intervention program that helps students who are struggling academically and/or behaviorally. The district uses a Response to Intervention (RtI) model to assess student performance, provide interventions and monitor student progress. The mission of the CSP is to provide students the opportunity receive help faster, have support services quicker, and the process itself empowers staff members to make educational decisions that are based on a student’s classroom performance not on a student’s test scores. This district-wide intervention program has building level autonomy to provide intervention services to meet the individual student needs and student group needs as identified by the building CSP Core Team. Parents should contact their child's school counselor to inquire about the CSP or to report concerns with their child's progress in school.
