Ross Local Schools recognizes that at times students are in need of medication during school hours. In order to administer medication, it is required to obtain a medical order from a physician as well as written parent permission for the school to administer the medication. Medications must be brought to school in their original container and label.
This medical order must contain the following information:
- Student's name
- Name of the medication
- Dosage of medication to be given
- Time the medication should be given
- Signature of the medical practitioner prescribing the medication

Please note that all medications must be brought to the school office by an adult. Students are not permitted to carry medications to school with them.
The only time students may carry their medication is when their epinephrine auto injectors and/or inhalers are accompanied by an order from a physician specifically stating the student may carry and self-administer the medication.
