HAMILTON, Ohio - At the January meeting of the Ross Local School District Board of Education, Duke Energy presented the school district with a check for $16,498. The funds were earned by the school district as a result of the recent renovation of Elda Elementary School in Ross Township.

The funds were provided by Duke through the company’s Energy Efficiency Incentive Program. During the renovation of the building, new energy efficient equipment was installed including lighting, kitchen appliances, and HVAC equipment.

Ross School’s Superintendent Greg Young stated, “We are excited to partner with Duke Energy in providing savings to the taxpayers of the Ross Local School District. Our district will continue to seek means to make our facilities as energy efficient as possible.”

Tim Abbott, Duke’s Director of Government and Community Relations, presented the check to Ross School Board President David Brown.
