Ross Schools once again rated "Excellent with Distinction"

The long awaited district and school ratings for the 2011 - 2012 school year were released October 17th by the Ohio Department of Education. The Ross Local School District once again received the state's highest rating of Excellent with Distinction. This mark's the fifth consecutive year that the district has received this rating. The Performance Index has consistently improved each year with the current rating of 106.3 a historical high for the district. The district also met the required Adequate Yearly Progress benchmark for the No Child Left Behind Act and had Above Average growth in its Value Added Measure. In addition, district earned a historical high graduation rate of 97.2%. Superintendent Greg Young stated, " This rating is a direct reflection of our hard working students, dedicated staff, exemplary leadership and supportive community".
